Every spring, hundreds of Duxbury students take their first professional step through HIREDuxbury—meeting employers, discovering new paths, and learning what it means to show up, contribute, and grow. It’s more than a job fair; it’s a launchpad for future leaders.
In March 2025, over 200 students and 60 local employers filled the Duxbury High School gym with energy, curiosity, and possibility. Employers described the experience as “energizing, efficient, and rewarding.” Students called it “confidence-building” and “the best way to get a real job.”

When young people and local businesses work together, everyone wins. HIREDuxbury is powered by the Duxbury Student Union, with support from South Shore Bank, Eastern Bank Foundation, Roche Bros., and Brothers Marketplace.

Now entering its seventh year, HIREDuxbury connects Duxbury High School students with local employers, nonprofits, and community partners across the South Shore.
The event opens doors to real-world experience—and to the confidence that comes from earning that first paycheck.
In 2025, students rated HIREDuxbury 4.8 out of 5, describing it as friendly, well-organized, and empowering.
Over 85% reported learning new career skills, from resume writing and interview etiquette to making a strong first impression.
For employers, it’s a chance to meet prepared, motivated teens who are eager to learn and contribute. For students, it’s an introduction to independence. For the community, it’s a powerful reminder that great towns invest in their young people.
