HIREDuxbury 2026 Recap

On March 25, Duxbury High School’s Main Street filled with students ready to introduce themselves, ask good questions and land their summer jobs. More than 40 local employers, from Island Creek Oysters and Duxbury Bay Maritime School to Brothers Marketplace and the Massachusetts Army National Guard, came ready to hire, mentor and inspire.

DSU Board Chair Marika Reuling opened the evening with her own career journey and her advice on how to stand out. Then students got to work: shaking hands, practicing their pitch and exploring paths from summer jobs to AI and data analytics careers, legislative internships and architecture.

Sometimes one conversation changes everything.

One Conversation. One Summer Internship.

At HIREDuxbury 2026, two DSU alumni introduced themselves to local architect Christine Monaghan. By summer they were her interns, redesigning the Duxbury Student Union for the next generation of kids. Christine’s colleague Kiana Mohammadi found her own job with Christine at HIREDuxbury two years earlier.
