Position: Summer Camp Lead Counselor
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee a group of 10-20 children and serve as the EEC-licensed lead teacher;
Oversee an assistant counselor to coordinate preparation of spaces, coordination of lunches/snacks, and general support;
Rotating coverage of pick-up and drop-off;
Ensure a safe and healthy environment in which the students will thrive during their summer break;
Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with parents of students through ongoing responsible, timely, and respectful communication;
Participation in staff meetings and trainings;
Represent the school in a positive light, whether in or out of school.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience preferably in early childhood education
Toddler House Counselors MUST have EEC license
EEC License preferred, but not required for Children’s House / Elementary programs
Interest in Montessori Philosophy
Calm and peaceful disposition
A strong desire for ongoing learning about teaching, children, education, and Montessori
Salary Range: $24/hr
Hours Needed: June 10 – August 9, Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 4:00PM
