Position: 82DHS Event Intern – 12 hours
Are you a high school senior or college student looking to gain experience in student life and event planning?
82DHS is an annual event where high school graduates talk with 8th graders about life in high school. Topics discussed include academics and extracurriculars, work and volunteer opportunities, self care and mental health resources, and advocacy and activism. Take a deep dive on the content and establish the critical information, recreating it in a highly engaging and collaborative way that gets students talking and excited for high school. A small budget is provided for giveaways. You will also recruit and train 25 high school seniors who reflect the entire student body, who would serve on this panel. Training occurs after graduation. A survey and event recap would complete this event. ***This event would take place around June 13th.
