Position: Legislative Intern (Summer 2026)
The Office of State Representative Ken Sweezey (6th Plymouth District) is seeking motivated and civically engaged students for a Summer 2026 Legislative Internship.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in state government, public policy, and constituent services. Interns will work closely with the legislative team in both the State House and district settings, assisting with day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with constituent services and responding to inquiries
- Conducting policy and legislative research
- Drafting memos, letters, and social media content
- Attending hearings, briefings, (as available) and community events in the district
- Supporting administrative and office operations
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in government, public policy, or law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
