DSU 52DMS Event Volunteer

Position: 52DMS Event Volunteer – March – May 28. 12 hours
Are you a high school senior with an interest in education, youth development or mental health?
52DMS is the rebranded Girls Night Out and Boys Night Out of years ago. DSU hosts a night of exploration for parents and students in the 5th grade to learn about life in middle school. Your job is to research everything a 5th grader needs to know before heading off to 6th grade. It should be high on fun and facts and cover topics like academics, extracurriculars, taking healthy risks (refusal skills), self care and support resources, digital wellness and fueling a healthy body. You will meet with DSU (and DMS administrators), research the topics, create engaging content, recruit the speakers, create a budget, survey and report the data. This event happens in the last week in May.
