This is a Volunteer position.

Position: DSUMMER Camp Volunteer

Do you have mad skills you want to share with kids this summer? 

DSUMMER camp is looking for volunteers who embody the following: –   

Engagement – Our students and campers love interacting with high school students on the field and during indoor activities. Come ready to be present, to get to know our staff and campers and to have FUN! 

Be comfortable setting boundaries – younger kids look up to you. Set boundaries for behavior and age appropriate conversations. They will respect you even more if you demand fairness combined with fun. 

Flexibility – life moves quickly and there are many tasks, some exciting and some very mundane. Be open to it all.

Resilience – sometimes the activity might be challenging for a camper. Provide some tips and encourage them to participate and keep trying. Don’t be afraid to share feedback (e.g.”I was impressed at how you passed the ball to your teammate and she scored for your team”).

Responsible  – Be on time. If you have to cancel, please find your replacement as we are depending on your volunteer service. 

Prepared – come with a mask, water bottle, hat and sunscreen.
