Position: Starland Rec Program Counselors
We are looking to hire enthusiastic & attentive Summer Rec Counselors to join our team this Summer! Hours during the Summer will range Monday – Friday, from 8/9AM – 4/5PM. Part-time and full-time roles available.
The purpose of every Counselor is to lead, support, and motivate every camper. As a Counselor, you should be positive, proactive, and caring while providing a fun and safe camp experience. Your job is to create lasting memories!
Responsibilities:
– Lead and support campers
– Monitor campers to ensure compliance with Rec rules and prevent accidents
– Clean, maintain, and ensure proper use of Starland’s facilities and equipment
– Report and record any incidents to parents and Rec staff
– Engage in fun activities throughout the day with the campers
Requirements:
– High School Diploma, equivalent, or actively enrolled in school
– Experience working in camps or with children preferred
– Physical ability to participate in activities and play sports with the campers
– High level of responsibility and accountability
– Upbeat, engaging personality
– Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
